Don received a B.A. from St. Pauls College in 1970, an LL.B. from the University of Manitoba in 1973, and was appointed Queens Counsel in 1995. Don has practiced law since 1974 and been a partner with the law firm of Booth Dennehy LLP or one of its predecessors since 1975.
Don is a Past President and former director of the Lions Manor Senior Citizens Home, Lions Place for Senior Citizens Ltd. And the Lions Gateway to Affordable Housing Inc. Board of Directors as well as Past Director and Vice- president of the Lions Club of Winnipeg. Don is also a past director of the C.N.I.B., St. Pauls High School, Assiniboine Memorial Curling Club Holding Company Limited and the Canadian Deafblind and Rubella Association. Don has served as an honorary solicitor of his community club, his church and the Guillain-Barre Syndrome Foundation of Canada Inc. providing general advice and counsel. Don coaches ringette in the winter and has done so for over 17 years and has coached fastball for 8 years, a sport which he continues to play in the Bar Association Baseball League.
His preferred area of practice include Corporate/ Commercial; Real Estate; Wills and Estates while also doing litigation in both the civil and domestic disciplines. Don is married and has one daughter.
